General information

The Berggasthaus Masescha came into existence in 1877. In 1929 Guntram and Emma Fehr purchased the Berggasthaus and subsequently renovated and expanded the restaurant. The now third generation of the Familie Fehr still operates the restaurant.

The Restaurant is nestled 1,240 meters above sea level and is known to be the „Sun Terrace“ of the region. Masescha is a mere 15 minutes of easy driving above the Capital Vaduz and features regional cuisine. The Restaurant is internationally known for its Apfelkuchen, invented by Maria Fehr. The secret recipe for the Apfelkuchen is held closely in the family.

Im Jahre 1877 wurde das Bergrestaurant eröffnet. 1929 erwarb Guntram und Emma Fehr das Berggasthaus und erweiterte 1948 die „Schankwirtschaft“ mit einem Saalanbau. Heute wird das Bergasthaus immer noch von der dritten Generation Nachkommen des Guntram Fehr bewirtschafted.

Das Berggasthaus Masescha ist für seine gutbürgerliche Küche und vor allem den Apfelkuchen bekannt. Das von Maria Fehr erfundene Rezept ist hoch begehrt, oft imitiert aber bleibt jedoch ein Familiengeheimnis.
